Come as you are.

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking.

We have an awesome host team that will greet and assist you as you walk into the door.

We want to help make your first experience at The River Church a great one!

The River Church meets every week on Sundays and Wednesdays at 11005 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, LA.

  • Midweek: Wednesdays at 7pm

What can i expect?

What are weekend experiences like?

At The River Church, we want you to have a powerful Sunday experience. When you arrive at our campus, you can expect to be greeted with a warm welcome and help from our team to find a seat and enjoy the experience. You will experience dynamic worship and receive an uplifting message of hope. Doors to the sanctuary will open no later than 30 minutes before the start of the service, so plan to arrive in plenty of time to park, head to the sanctuary, and get settled in your seat. If you have children to check into our children's ministry, we encourage you to plan additional time into your schedule.

What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

What do I wear to a weekend experience?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Worship Experiences. Come in what is comfortable for you, because The River Church is not about what you look like or what you wear.

What about my children?

At The River Church, your children are a top priority. All of our children’s ministry environments are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called Thee River Kids as well as a life-changing ministry to students in junior high, high school, and college.

How can I meet others and get connected?

You can begin by attending our Next Step class that is designed to help you take your next steps as a Christ Follower. During this class, you will meet our staff and learn the heart and values behind the vision of The River Church. Next Step is also a great opportunity to learn more about getting involved and becoming a member of our church family.

How can I be discipled and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. One-on-one Bible Studies offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to follow Jesus to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership.
